01Understanding the condition

What is cervical spondylosis?

As we age, our joints naturally show some wear and tear. When that affects the neck, it’s often labeled cervical spondylosis, also known as neck arthritis. It’s surprisingly common and can cause chronic discomfort, reduced range of motion, and even nerve-related symptoms if left unaddressed.

Cervical spondylosis is a degenerative condition affecting the joints, discs, and bones of the cervical spine, the neck. Over time, the cushioning discs lose height and the joints develop wear, which can lead to stiffness and irritation.

At Cavanaugh Chiropractic in Lafayette, we help patients every day who are managing the effects of neck arthritis. Whether you’re noticing stiffness when you turn your head or tingling into your arms, chiropractic care can restore comfort, mobility, and wellness.
