01Where patients come from

Lafayette is home. Acadiana is the neighborhood.

Cavanaugh Chiropractic has been on Independence Boulevard since 1974. Two generations of doctors, Dr. Mike and Dr. Matt, have looked after families here for fifty years, and plenty of those families do not live inside the city.

They come in from Scott and Carencro on a lunch break. From Youngsville and Broussard after work. From Breaux Bridge, Crowley, Church Point, Opelousas and Abbeville when something has hurt long enough that waiting it out stopped working.

We are one office with two doctors, not a chain with a rotating schedule. You see the same person every visit, and that is usually the reason people drive past a closer clinic to get here.

Care built around a longer trip.

When someone drives half an hour to see us, a five minute appointment is not much of an answer. Here is how we try to make the visit earn the mileage.
A real exam on day one
Your first visit includes a full evaluation, with x-rays taken on site when they are needed, so you are not asked to drive back a second time just to be looked at.
Same-day visits and walk-ins
We keep openings every day. If you are already coming in from out of town, that flexibility is the entire point.
A plan that respects the drive
Care is paced to your recovery and to your travel. We will tell you honestly how often you need to come in, and when you do not.
