01Understanding the condition

What is cervical facet syndrome?

If you’re waking up with a stiff neck that won’t turn the way it used to, or you feel a sharp ache when you look over your shoulder, you could be dealing with Cervical Facet Syndrome.

The facet joints are the small joints at the back of the neck that guide and limit your movement. When they become irritated or inflamed, from a car crash, a sudden movement, or gradual wear over time, they can make everyday activities like checking a blind spot or sleeping comfortably a real challenge.

At Cavanaugh Chiropractic in Lafayette, we’ve helped many people find relief from this kind of facet joint pain. The good news is that you don’t have to live with it forever.
