Matthew is the Cavanaughs’ oldest son and the resident Lego engineer of the family, curious, creative, and somehow both wildly imaginative and surprisingly logical at the same time.

Whether he’s building an elaborate Lego creation, practicing piano, swimming, or heading off to Cub Scouts, Matthew loves learning how the world works. He’s especially fascinated by bugs, has an impressive vocabulary, and a mind that seems to move in a hundred directions at once. His favorite foods are mac and cheese and pho.
